Shot by Steven Meisel, it features only real people in an age group spanning from 18 to 82 year old. “I was interested to bring these clothes back to the street somehow, and seeing how they look on different ages, different sizes,” Elbaz told WWD. “It felt like a crazy family, and I like that.”

DOLCE & GABBANA AW12 mens campaign shot by Mariano Vivanco is featuring a 100% Italian cast with Bianca Brandolini, Brenno Placido, Carmine Recano, Gianmarco Tognazzi, Flavio Parenti and Francesco Scianna. I like the relaxed feel of the shot below where they all look like normal Italian people chilling on a Sunday.

…and of course some trademark baroque fashion is in order! Very Dolce.

It is that time of the year again…All the SS12 ad campaigns are a out and I am gonna pick my favourites!!! 

BALENCIAGA SS12 shot by Steven Meisel: I like this messy room!!! It reminds me of myself…That is so me when I take off my heels after a few aperitives…I always have an unmade bed, a small old TV and lots of stuff papers and magazines on the floor. Not a very good housekeeper yeah…But hey: these are the blessings of being single ;) FREEDOM!! AND PS: I really wanna thank the art director for making untidiness look so fashionable.

CHANEL SS12 shot by Karl Lagerfeld. This is probably my favourite Chanel campaign, it really got me because it is a combination of 3 things I REALLY LOVE: the Mediterranean Sea, black and white photography and gymnastics (I did it for 6 years when I was little, and was very obsessed with it at the time). Plus, I don’t really know where Karl got the idea of the jellyfish sandals with socks, but I am telling you: as someone who grew up on an Italian beach among German tourists I can say…those sandals screeeam German tourist on a Lake Garda tour in the 80’s, so in a good way it brings up my childhood summer memories and it makes me smile.

I am not a sucker for the ladylike look however…if it comes with roaring flames, bright coloured accessories including the most surreal and cartoonish shoes that would be the envy of Penelope Pitstop from the Wacky Races…OK Miuccia…I give in!  

JIL SANDER SS12 shot by Willy Vanderperre. The first shot looks like a spooky nurse and the dark atmosphere is inspired by Hitchcock movies…Brrrr! Shivers down your back yet?

VALENTINO SS12 shot by Deborah Turbeville. A mix of decadence and romance and lots of chic! Apart from the beautiful frocks I LOVE the hair, the walls, the light…Dreamy!

CHLOÉ SS12 by Glen Luchford. So nice and simple. And so not “posy”. That’s why I like it.

CÉLINE SS12 shot by Jürgen Teller. A lesson in sleek minimalism and Stella Tennant at her coolest. I love the red and white jumper, the black leather with that nail varnish…
